Terms of Use

This is a free research tool. It is not advice, the numbers in it can be wrong, and what you do with your money is entirely your own decision. The rest of this page says that more carefully, plus the rules for posting on Ideas and Dude.

What this site is

DudeDiligence scores US-listed companies on a fixed set of fundamental pillars and shows the results, along with a screener over the listed universe and a map of where listed capital sits. It is a way of narrowing a very long list down to something a person could actually read. It is the beginning of research, not the end of it.

By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use it.

This is not investment advice

We are not a registered investment adviser, a broker-dealer, or a financial planner, and nothing on this site should be read as personal financial advice. No score, note, ranking, filter or chart here takes into account your circumstances, your goals, your tax position or your tolerance for loss, because it does not know them.

A high score is not a recommendation. A low score is not a warning to sell. The engine is an opinion expressed in arithmetic, and it is frequently wrong. Small, beaten-down companies of the kind this tool surfaces are volatile and thinly traded, and some of them go to zero. You can lose money, including all of it.

Every decision you make is yours. Consider talking to a licensed adviser who knows your situation before you act on anything you read here.

The data, and how wrong it can be

Financial data on this site comes from third-party providers and public filings. It arrives with genuine errors: stale figures, misclassified companies, missing quarters, bad share counts, and prices that do not reflect what you could actually trade at. Some of it is delayed. Some of the small companies here barely trade at all, which makes every derived figure less reliable, not more.

We do not warrant that anything here is accurate, complete, current, or fit for any purpose. Where a figure matters to a decision you are making, check it against the company's own filings.

Past performance says nothing about future results, and a scoring model that would have worked historically is not evidence that it will work next year.

Advertising and paid placement

The site carries no advertising. If that changes, these commitments hold and are not negotiable:

• No company will ever pay to appear in the scoreboard, to be scored differently, to be ranked higher, or to be written about. There is no price for this. Requests will be declined.
• Advertising, if any, will be clearly marked as advertising and kept visually separate from research output.
• If a link earns a commission, that will be stated plainly next to the link, not buried on a page like this one.
• No advertiser gets any influence over the engine, the universe, or what gets said about any company.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password and recovery code safe. That code may be the only way back into an account whose password has been lost, so store it somewhere you will still have it in a year.

Do not impersonate anyone, do not create accounts to get around a suspension, and do not share an account with someone else.

Posting: Ideas and Dude

There are two places to post here. Ideas is the board: you put a chart up with a headline and your reasoning, and other people like it or argue with it in the replies. Dude is the room for discussing what the scanner turns up. Treat everything you put on either as public, because it is: both are readable by anyone, with no account.

A chart on Ideas is an opinion, not a recommendation, and it does not become one because people liked it. A like is one member saying they agree. It is not a verification, it is not a forecast, and nothing on the board is ever settled right or wrong by us. The like count shown on a profile counts agreement received; it does not measure whether anybody was correct, and it must not be presented anywhere as a track record.

Say what you own. If you file a chart on a name you hold a position in, say so in the post. This is the rule the room lives or dies by, and it applies to both surfaces.

Pictures

You can put a photograph on an Ideas post. Two rules, and neither has an exception.

Nothing pornographic, sexually explicit, or sexually suggestive. Nothing depicting a minor in any sexual context whatsoever. Also nothing gratuitously violent or gory, nothing designed to shock, no hate symbols, and nothing that harasses or exposes a private person, including an address, a phone number or documents rendered into the picture. This is not a list of everything we will remove; it is the floor. We will remove anything we would not want on the front page, and we do not owe an argument about it.

It has to be yours to post. Your own photograph, or something you hold the rights to. Do not upload a picture of another person who has not agreed to appear on a public page.

Every picture is checked automatically when you upload it, and a person here looks at every one that gets through that check. The look happens after your post is up. Uploading anything the first rule forbids is not a post we quietly remove: it will end your account, and where it is unlawful we will report it. The cost of trying has to be higher than the cost of making an account.

The following will get a post or a chart removed and may end your account, on either surface:

• Promoting a stock you hold without saying that you hold it. Disclose your position.
• Being paid to promote a security without disclosing it. Beyond being banned here, this is unlawful in the United States.
• Any attempt at market manipulation: coordinated buying or selling, pump-and-dump schemes, spreading claims you know to be false to move a price.
• Passing on material non-public information, or asking anyone else for it.
• Presenting yourself as a licensed adviser when you are not, or giving personalised advice to other users.
• Spam, advertising, referral links, and repetitive self-promotion. Filing the same chart over and over, or working the likes to lift your own numbers, counts as this.
• Harassment, threats, hate speech, and abuse directed at other people.
• Uploading a picture that breaks the rules under Pictures above.
• Anything unlawful, and anything that infringes someone else's rights.

Do not scrape the site, hammer the API, attempt to break the authentication, or resell the output as your own product. Reasonable personal use is welcome; automated bulk extraction is not.

Moderation

We can remove any post or chart and suspend or delete any account, with or without notice, where these terms have been broken. We keep a record of moderation decisions so they can be reviewed. We do not pre-screen posts or charts, and a chart that is still up should not be read as one we have approved, checked, or agree with. Pictures get an automatic check before they go up; see below.

You can remove anything you posted yourself, at any time, from the post itself, including a picture you uploaded. A chart you take down comes off the board and stops counting toward anything, including the totals on your own profile.

Every picture is looked at by a person, after it is up. An automatic check runs first and can refuse a picture outright, in which case nothing is stored and you are told straight away. Anything it lets through goes on the board and waits its turn for the human look. If a picture is refused at either stage we delete it and keep a fingerprint of what it looked like, so the same one cannot be uploaded again from a crop or a re-save. You will usually be told why; we do not owe you an argument about it.

Posts and charts by other users are their opinions and not ours. We do not endorse them, we do not check them, and we are not responsible for them. That includes the price chart on a card: the picture is drawn by us from our own price history, the claim written over it belongs to whoever filed it, and the two are not the same thing.

Content and ownership

The site, its design, its text and the scoring engine belong to us. Underlying market data belongs to the providers it comes from and is subject to their terms.

What you post stays yours. By posting it here you give us permission to display and store it on the site so that the site can work. If you delete it, that permission ends, other than for backups already taken and for any copy kept as part of a moderation record.

That covers pictures too, with one addition. The file you upload is not what we store: we make our own copy of it, at our own size and in our own format, which is also what strips the location and camera data out of a photograph. That copy is what the permission above covers, and deleting the picture deletes it.

You may quote and share output from the site with attribution. You may not republish it wholesale or pass it off as your own.

Availability

This is offered free. It will sometimes be down, sometimes slow, and sometimes wrong. Features may change or be removed. Scans may not run. There is no service level, no uptime promise, and no commitment that the site will exist next year.

Liability

The site is provided as is, with no warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. That includes any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy.

We are not liable for any trading or investment loss, lost profit, lost opportunity, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or from anything you read on it. You use it at your own risk, and investment decisions are yours alone.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top of the page changes with them, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Delaware is the state in which TheColiseum Incorporated is organized. Any dispute arising out of these terms or your use of the site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and we each consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

If you are a consumer resident somewhere whose law gives you the right to bring a claim locally, or grants you protections that cannot be waived by agreement, nothing here removes that right.

This site is operated by TheColiseum Incorporated, a Delaware corporation. "We" and "us" in these terms mean TheColiseum Incorporated.
